Daily schedule
Our daily schedule offers time for children to participate in both
group activities and independent child choice activities.
Morning Circle Time:
Morning meeting is a time to greet everyone and start our day. Activities at morning meeting include morning greeting, calendar, weather, introduction of new letters, numbers, shapes and colors and talking about ourweek’s theme.
Literacy/ Math Activities:
Literacy skills will form a strong foundation for children’s school careers, and are split simply into comprehension, reading and writing. While the mathematics area of learning focusses on simple concepts that are foundational to higher math topics. In EYFS children focus on the math areas of number and numerical Patterns.
Theme of the week
We encourage conversations and spoken language skills through our weekly themes. Underpinning all skills, its foundational for children to be able to interact with their peers and their learning environment. It’s split into listening and attention, understanding and speaking about life themes.
Story Time:
Stories have so much to offer, they develop listening and communication skills, improve concentration and memory, bring experiences alive, create a sense of wonder and help sequence events. They can also provide information, widen vocabulary, and make important links between the spoken and written word, as well as stimulating an interest and enjoyment of books.
Gross Motor Skills:
Gross motor skills are the skills that children develop using their whole body. You can see this from a baby’s earliest efforts to move and travel, to young children coordinating whole body movements. By using their whole bodies children become increasingly confident, agile, and flexible.
Sensory play:
Sensory play includes activities that stimulate children’s senses such as sight, sound, smell, taste, or touch. By providing this type of activity children will learn more about the world around them in a natural way, through their senses. Such activities contribute to brain development by stimulating the neurons in the brain to make connections and help with development in all areas of learning.
Arabic Language:
Arabic is the official language in Qatar that is why we give great importance to teaching Arabic to our children through introducing the letters and increasing their Arabic language vocabulary.
Islamic:
Islamic education educates the child with the right knowledge of Islam. Providing Islamic education allows the right knowledge of Islam to be taught to children.
French:
French is given to kids as a third language to introduce them to the main words and primary communication skills.
Tabletop activities
These activities are set up in the classroom first thing in the morning and stay out till the end of the day. Children will have the freedom to chose any throughout the day.
